ISDN Auto Backup on multiple locations

Dear All,

We are connected to 30 places thru leased line .

Now i wanted to configure ISDN as AutoBackup.

Now problem is here.

If I am configuring place A bri port as a backup of leased line ( it will dial B )then it goes in standby mode.

and B will dial C and C will A.

But if the interface is in standby mode the interface wont comeup.

Suppose link of A is UP but C is down so C will try to dial A but A is in standby mode so it wont accept the call.

Please help me on it as it is really verry imp for me I tried dialer profile and dialer interface but no use.

Hello Mangesh,

This problem can also be solved thru floating static routes. When you use these instead of a backup-interface BRI0, the ISDN will not go into standby.

This is an example of a floating static route:

ip route 10.50.111.0 255.255.255.0 10.70.30.215 150

can u pls elaborate on it pls....

my serial ip is 10.250 .0.0

Isdn is 10.155.208.0

and ethernet is 10.155.0.0
