ISDN backup to ADSL link

Has anyone been able to get a ISDN link to work when a ADSL link gos down, i have tried everything i know but i can not get the isdn to come up !!!

Hello Craig,

what have you tried already ? Can you post your configuration ? You might want to look into configuring dialer watch, check the link below.

I have come across this problem, whereby the dialer interface or the BRI are configured as backup interfaces for the ATM, but the ATM never really goes down and therefore the backup is never activated. You could build a tunnel and run some sort of routing protocol over the tunnel, just to trigger the backup, but that requires access to all ends, and in most cases, the ADSL is used to connect to an ISP. In addition, the tunnel solution required advanced confgiguration and did not work all the time..
