ISDN Cable from Telco U Point to Router

Wired properly, does CAT 5 Ethernet cable meet specs to provide the connection between the Telco access point and my router interface (U connection)?

CAT5 is fine, you can even use CAT3.

Thanks. Information is getting "pretty sketchy" on ISDN. But I'm in a rural community and found it is my only choice to deploy (besides dialup). Have to construct a cable longer than the 6 footer that came with router.
