Hello everyone!
I am wanting to use kron to schedule a monthly backup of my routers and switches, is this possible? Or is it only possible to do a specified date or day? Any and all help is really appreciated.
Thanks!

It is possible using KRON an the archive command. See here

Or you could use the free configuration management utility rConfig to manage of this and more for you.

I have seen the link on how to setup kron to do a backup to a TFTP, but I am wanting to know if it is possible to setup to backup on a monthly basis as opposed to a weekly basis. I have tried looking up sample configurations but only see this setup as a daily or weekly backup.
Sorry in advanced if I am not understanding your comment.
Thanks!

Hi,
R1(config)#kron occurrence mykronoccurence in ?
Delay before occurrence (mmm or hhh:mm or ddd:hh:mm)
so you could choose 30 days and use recurring keyword.Isn't it available on your platform ?
