layer 3 switching

Dear Sir

i have 6506 switch,that is with

WS-X6K-SUP1A-2GE AND

TWO MODULE WS-X6348 inline power

i need to implement layer 3 switching can i order msfc2 separatly

or i have to order new supervisor engine with msfc2.

and please provide me with the right part number.

You can't order MSFC2 with plain old sup. If you had MSFC1, then you could have ordered MSFC2.

WS-X6K-S2-MSFC2= 128Mb on sup2 and MSFC2

WS-X6K-S2U-MSFC2 - 256MB DRAM ON SUP2 and i think 256 in MSfC2.

check the exact product info with where ever you are buying from
