I have recently upgraded CW2000 Campus Manager 3.3 from IDU5.0 to IDU 8.0. In LAN Edge view our layer 2/3 switches (3550's or 4k's) have been moved to the switch fabric maps like they should have but... In every case where the switch fabric should have a link to a 2691 or 3725 router the link is gone. Links from switch fabric icons to 2621's are still there. If I look in the layer 2 view all the links show properly. This was not the case in 5.0 and I have already tried deleting all of the affected devices and relearning them. Does anyone have information on this?
Also, does anyone know where I can find a list of known problems with IDU's? Specifically 8.0?

For known defects you could refer to the product documentation. All documentation is available at http://www.cisco.com/univercd/home/home.htm. Specifically, you could refer to the release notres to see the defects related to a particular version. You could also use the Bug toolkit at http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/Bugtool/home.pl, though you need to login for that.

Since those links are built via CDP, have you verified cdp is configured/operating correctly on both ends of the links?

Thanks for the link to the documentation pages, I just haven't been able to find information specifically for IDU 8.0, only 5.0.
Yes CDP is running and is seen by both ends. If I look in the layer 2 map the links are there with both devices visible on the map. The links are not shown only on the LAN Edge view map when it is from certain model routers to a switch cloud.
Thanks for the responses. It's no major issue for us, I just like to use the topology maps as a backup to our openview system which sometimes gets bogged down.
