Hi all
I faced a peculiar problem yesterday....one of the site was connected to the fast ethernet of the core switch.....say 2950 at remote site is connected to the 4506 in the core switch... the remote site is in vlan 55...so i configured the fast ethernet to be a layer 2 (switchport) & as a ACCESS LINK and defined a logical interface for that site...i.e interface vlan 55.& assigned ip address to it .but this didnt seem to work
then what i did was i removed the logical interface...defined the fast ethernet to be a layer 3 interface(no switchport) and the assigned ip address to it rather to the logical interface..i shut the logical interface...then it works..
any ideas y its not workin??
