manageable switch port monitor

Hello all,

I'm looking for a switch port monitor capable. 8 or 16 port 10/100. What I really need is the port monitor.

I want a cheap one, and I've looked for in the linksys series. Which switch is as I'm looking for? Which one do you recommend me?

Couple options I can think off.

1)You might want to look at the 2950/2960s which run IOS and support Port monitor feature.

2)Basic SPAN feature is supported in CE-500 switches but they cannot be managed via telnet but you will need to use Cisco Network Assistant(CNA).

I've thought about the 2950/2960, but their prices are so high (600 euros).

The CE-500 one are out-of-sales. Do you know which it is the new model?
