Media Convert + Catalyst 2950t

Hi, my name is Javier Teran.

I have trouble with the media converts Transition Networks E-100BTX-FX-04(SM) and the Catalyst 2950t, this not syncrhonize , the interface is Up and Down frequently, i do probe change the speed to half, full duplex but this not work,i try with 3com Superstack and work correctly, but i need migrate the switch to cisco, how i can do?

What is the device that you are trying to connect to on the OTHER end?

i try the other device with 3com SuperStack II 1000 and try with another Catalyst 2950t

Have you tried manually setting the speed as well as the duplex to 100 MBPS, half-duplex and/or 100 MBPS/full-duplex?

You can also try the carrier-delay command, but it just may force the link up while link error continue. There is a brief description of carrier-delay in the following document:

Try turning OFF the Autonegotiate (SW1 Down) on the Transition Networks Convertor.

The cOnfiguration in the transition is:

1 - down - Auto negotiation Off

2 - up - UTP Full Duplex

3 - up - 100Base-TX

4 - up - Fiber Full Duplex
