metric weights of EIGRP

As recent working on Cisco 3640, when using eigrp, calculating patch cost, found that the metric weights are not default as k1=1 (bandwidth), k3=1 (delay).

Actually, k3=0 (delay) is zero by default. Any one has comments or update of these default weights? thanks!

The default values for K are:

K1 = 1

K2 = 0

K3 = 1

K4 = 0

K5 = 0

thanks, you are right. but when setting metric weights 0 1 1 1 0 0 to enable load considering, the router could not exchange route information with other routers.

Hi.

The other routers have to have the same metric weights in order to be EIGRP neighbors with the router you are working on. If the K values don't match they won't be neighbors.

Hope this helps.
