I have a 3661 router with 16 port analog modem (NM-16AM) install for dialup users. This the the version of the modems:

Slot 3:MCOM Analog Integrated Modem Firmware Version 1.2.8

Boot firmware: 1.1.5

MIMIC firmware: 1.3.3

Modem firmware: 2.3.17

DSP firmware: 0.0.2

Can somebody advice me on the compatible external modems that I will need to install on dialup users PC. Prefer external modems. I need to advice my dialup users on the modem they should buy that is compatible to my routers modem and will not create problems

The card you are referring to uses v.34 modems. They are standard. Any v.34 modem should be able to connect to it. These modems are limited to 33.6K. I haven't bought a modem for a while, but f you are looking for a solid modem, look at the US Robotics Sportster modems,
