Monitoring a redundant Cat6K supervisor

What's the best way to monitor a redundant Supervisor in a Catalyst 6K switch? I know I can do this with a script that would look at telnet to the switch and do a "sho mod" or something like that, but is there any MIB I can look at?

Any other ideas?
