Moving from Avaya to a Cisco VoIP system

My company is moving from Avaya to a Cisco VoIP system

Currently the executives and their assistants use one  button on a 6 button phone as a aka "Panic button". When the button is pushed it sends a silent emergency alert to security command center.  Security receives the alert and responds immediately by returning a call to the phone and physical guard to the location.

The button functions similar to a speed dial button except, when pushed no call should made only an alert or special ring to the phone on the other end.
Can anyone let me know if this feature is possible with Cisco system or do I need a 3rd party software?

hi Eddie,

A couple of Ideas  you can explore although I do not know if you are using Callmanager express or callmanager  and how these ideas  can fit into your design....

1>you can use plar or hotdial as soon as the phone goes offhook it dials a preconfigured number.

2>have an XML app to do this, and have it be under services, or as an idle URL that allows you to push one of the softbuttons to accomplish this. It would have to place the call from our apps  engine, or somewhere, but not apply ringback to the phone (supervised transfer user that pushed the button would be on hold).

Hope this helps!

Thanks,
