multiple IOS

Hi All;

I have 2801 which I downloaded second IOS image. How can I load the router with second IOS image but keep the old IOS in the flash?

Hi Alex,

Simply configure your boot statement to point to the desired image.

boot system flash flash:[image name]

If the flash has enough room for both you can store it on there and config the router using the boot system command.

You could also use the boot system command and have it get the new image from another server like TFTP etc.
