I have a Cat2948 running 5.5(2)with multiple vlans configured. I have 2 Intrusion detections systems that I would like to install on 2 of the vlans configured on this switch. Can I span one vlan to one span port and another vlan to a different span port?

I configure a span for vlan 949 and then try to configure a span for vlan 989 but only the span for 989 shows up when you do a show span. This message appears:
Overwrote Port 2/36 to monitor transmit/receive traffic of VLAN 989

I failed to put the key word create at the end of my second span port configuration. Now both span configurations are active.
