NAM Password Recovery

I have a WS-X6380-NAM Sw : 2.1(2) in a 6513 Sw : 7.3(1), after changing the root password from root to my own, I can no longer log into the NAM module as either root or guest using default passwords or my own password.

I have performed a "clear module password (mod)" this has not reset the passwords back to factory defaults.

Any help on this appreciated

Steve

Not sure why "lear module password (mod)" did not work fdr you. Try this: Boot into the NAM Maintenance Partition using the command "reset hdd:2". Once the NAM comes back on-line and 'sh mod' shows NAM status=OK, login to the root account with the default login of root/root. If you're able to login OK, just re-image the Application Partition again.
