Need Help with Cat 1900

This is probably not the right section to post this but maybe someone out there can help me.

I just resently got a 1900 series Switch (model number WS-C1924-EN-DC). Well, looks like this thing requires DC power. I dont know anything about electricity and I have no Idea how to hook this thing up to a power source. The power connector is a little 4 pin connector. Looks almost like a Hard Drive power connector.

I found some documentation about it on the Cisco site, but that really doesnt help.

Says it requires the following:

Power 39W, -40 to -60 VDC

Wire gauge for power connections 14 AWG

Branch circuit protection 2A

Im at a loss here. I dont know where to begin. Is there a cable that will fix this, or an adapter or do I need a special DC power source and if so what kind?

This is for a home Lab, currently have three 250x serious routers.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thank you in advance

Look for a power adaptor that provides nominally -48 VDC. Make sure that it will provide at least 39 Watts (you can get more Watts, but not less). Buy some 14 AWG wire and connect positive on the power supply to positive on the router, negative to negative and ground to ground. Check Radio Shack or a local hardware store.

(Not responsible for houses burning, personal injury, or things exploding, follow local electrical code.)

Good luck.
