new router is it faulty

Hello

I have just brought a soho 97 router. I turned it on and when to configure it. the RX TX lights on the ADSL flicker constantly. The CD light is off. I erased the configuration and reloaded it. As it boots and it reports that the atm and the ethernet are ok and then it pauses. The RX TX lights come on and flicker constantly and then two wierd symbols come up on the console and then I can configure it. Is there anything I can to or will I just have to send it back.

I assumed that , you configured and the connection was made.you have the following status of LED in your router.

ADSL_CD Green On when the ADSL carrier detects status and connects to Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer (DSLAM) successfully.

ADSL_RxD Green Blinks when the ADSL receives data.

ADSL_TxD Green Blinks when the ADSL transmits data. Off when no data is being uploaded

Otherwise check with your hardware.
