No syslog message for an interface status change

Hello all,

Recently, I installed some brand new Sup720. Some days ago, I noticed that when an interface goes down and up, it isn't logged. I have no message localy and nothing on the syslog server.

The strange is that other messages are logged, like routing changes, configuration sync.

Is there anything sepcial to do to get the syslog messages for the interfaces status changes?

Hello,

make sure you have:

snmp-server enable traps snmp

globally configured. This enables traps for a.o. linkdown and linkup events.
