Hi,
We have a cisco 7200 which forms adj with ospf neighbors (extreme network summit switches).
Everyting was fine with IOS 12.0(3)T but when we upgraded to 12.3(4)T. all adj went down. To solve to problem we disableld the MD5 message digest for OSPF authentication.
Back in the lab we noticed that the problem was with NonStopForwarding. When we disabled NFS
router ospf
no capability lls
All adj came back up. But with lls enabled, the only way to bring the neighbors up is to disable MD5 auth, which is not a solution in our environnement.
Can anyone explain a bit moreon this since there is limited documentation on vendor compatibility with NonStopForwarding.
Regards
Alex
