Hi,
I have a router synchronized to a time server and a few
2950 switches synchronized on the router. When I enter the command "ntp server ..." on the 2950, the synchronization occur but after 2 or 3 minutes the router appears as insane, invalid.
If I configure a "no ntp server" and then re-enter the same ntp server, the synchronization occur again but just for 2/3 minutes.
Is anybody have a idea?

Here is a link that outlines the process for configuring the 2950 for NTP

Link doesn't work...
I have a similar problem with IOS Access Points [12.2(13)JA1]. I'm using a FreeBSD 5.1-release machine as an ntp server; APs sync fine, but eventually lose sync, reporting my ntp server as 'insane.' Killing and restarting ntp on the AP fixed the issue for a while.

I think I have the solution. Just enter a "no ntp clock-period" to force the IOS to to revert to default the parameter and re calculate it. It solves my problem.
