I have an NM-1FE module that I just installed in a 3640 that displays green LEDs for EN (so it passed its self test), 100Mb + Link... so everything "appears" to be normal. However, when performing a show int, show run, show controllers, etc... there is absolutely no Fast Ethernet present.
It's receiving power, passing its self-test, and even detecting keepalives on the link...
What else can I do? (other than getting a new NM-1FE-TX :)
Thanks for your time!

What software is your 3640 running? Probably NM-1FE-TX is not supported in the release. Paste the output of sh ver. Also you can use the hardware/software advisor

Thank you so much for your reply!
I did the software/hardware intersection and found both my NM-1FE-TX and NM-2FE2W are supported... just the NM-2FE2W Fast Ethernet device show up:

The strange thing is that the 'EN' LED is lit... I have seen dead modules before and they don't light at all... plus, I get links LEDs when I connect the TX to a live port... When all modules but the NM-1FE-TX are removed, it still doesn't function...
Thanks again!

Try a different bay..If you still have the issue, I would suspect a bad card and would open a TAC case
