Hi,
Pls find below, some lines from OSPF design guide
"A router that has interfaces in multiple areas is called an area border router (ABR). Routers that act as gateways (redistribution)between OSPF and other routing protocols (IGRP, EIGRP, IS-IS, RIP, BGP, Static) or other instances of the OSPF routing process are called autonomous system boundary router (ASBR)." .
My question is, if in my ospf internal router I am running 2 ospf processes, and I am redistributing between the processes, whether my router will become an ASBR.
Thanks in advance
Thomas.

Hello Thomas,
yes, you router will become an ASBR. The redistributed routes from the other OSPF process are treated as external routes.
