OSPF NSSA Default Summary Routes

I have a router with two separate OSPF NSSA process running on it. I can see in the OSPF database that it has two default summary routes learned from the two separate ospf NSSA. However in the routing table it only keeps one default summary route. Both these default summary route have equal metrics. I was expecting it keep both of them and do load balancing. What is the selection criteria here ?

Also I need to know if I want to control which default summary route it should use ? I tried

Area x default-cost

But it does seem to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Metrics are not compared for routes from different OSPF processes and since their AD is the same, the first route installed in the RIB will remain in the RIB even when the second one is learnt. You could prefer the default from one process rather than the other by changing the AD.

Hope this helps,
