I Apologize if this is a foolish question, but I am still learning OSPF as we migrate from EIGRP.
Does each router have to have a unique process id withing the same OSPF area?
Thank you,
DF

The process ID can be the same or different on each router it's not like an AS number on (IGRP/EIGRP). In my environment I always make my process ID the same, I like to keep everything in a uniform fashinon. You can have two neighbor routers back to back with the same or different process ID, it doesn't make a difference, they will still become OSPF neighbors as long as everything else is ok.
