When ospf routers make neighbours, are all these via the DR, so bascially there are no direct neighbours, so if the dr goes off, all neighbourships are lost for a while ? I gather the DR/BDR tell the DRothers what the neighbours should be ? am i correct ?

Carl the BDR will assume the roll and keep the neighbor relationships.

if I may corrwct myself here, Am i correct in saying all routers for there own peer relationships but the updates will only be propogated to the DR and BDR and they will then inform the DRothers about the changes ?

am I correct in my last statement, ospf forms direct peers, but gets its updates from one source , so in other words, all routers form a relationship with the DR, and DRothers ?
