Hi often i encouter with out-of-band and inband siganlling in communication devices.Wat does this mean exactly.Thanks.

out of band are connecting to devices via console ports and aux ports.
in band are connecting to devices via things like telnet, http or ftp type of communications
So basically if you have not configured a device with a management IP address you cannot communicate with it via the in band, you have to use the out of band. Out of band uses direct connection to the device.
