I have an http server on which I uploaded a JPG image of 8431 bytes.
An host downloads that image, through its web browser.
Following the simulation in Packet tracer, I observe a download traffic of 22 TCP segments:
the first 21 segments with a payload of 556 bytes, the last with a payload of 92 bytes.
Thus the total payload is 21*556+92=11768 bytes.
Since 11768-8431=3337, an http header of 3337 bytes would result.
It seems excessive to me, as typically http headers are 300 to 400 bytes.
What's wrong?
