I am running port security on my cat 4000 and am having problems with 1 port. The violation code set up on the port is 'shutdown'. The port keeps shutting down. I have tried disabling port security and doing a 'clear port security all' on the port to wipe out any macs then enableing the port again. the port come back up but when I set port secutity on it is will stay up for maybe 10 minutes then it will shutdown. I have tried setting the maximum to 3 macs but it still shuts down. I even did a reset on the switch hoping this would wipe out something I am not seeing. any suggestions.
