Private VLANS

Hi,

We implement Private VLANS at our site, with community and using promiscuous

ports with Firewalls attached to link them together.

Can anyone advise whether it is possible for a broadcast or multicast to

pass from one community vlan to another, or from a promiscuous vlan to a community vlan.

We think we are seeing some instance of this - but want to understand what is going on.

Traffic from can flow between different community vlans and the promiscuous ports. Traffic can also flow between ports belonging to the same community vlan, but they cannot flow between ports belonging to different community vlans. You can get more information from here :
