Hello
Users on my Private WAN having hard time accessing
Corp. servers that have only the Iternet-FW address as their Default Gateway.
Some how the Local Route on the FireWall is not working
for local server to private WAN users, and that Dipending on the SSesion initiator, It allways work from the server side but not so from remote user to servers connections.some times I have to ping form the server to the remote WAN users to "open" the way, and they work, until next time.
Adding specific Route back on the servers thrue the private WAN router solve the problem.
any idea how to work around this problem ?
Cheers

Can you give us a little bit more info on your network setup? What are you running as far as Routing Protocol? Also what about your local network, do you have multiple VLANs, and if so, what's doing the inter-Vlan routing? And last, what do you use for firewall?
Thanks

FireWall is CheckPoint.
I use static routes only.
there is a route entry in FW to the Private Wan thru
the Cisco router on that Wan.
There is a static route to 0.0.0.0 on this cisco
to the FW.
servers on local lan have their GateWay set to FW.
As I mentioned before users from the private WAN
having truble login to servers on the LAN, but if
they do all work fine until next time.
Also I notice that if I ping the remote WAN user from the LAN server it "opens" the connection back to the server!
