Problem in QPM 3.2 with 4507R IOS Switch

Hi All,

I am trialing QPM in a Lab and can't seem to get it to support a Catalyst 4500 series IOS switch.

The switches run 12.2(18)EW L3 Crypto and support the class based and car MIBs that seem to be QPM's only major requirement.

I assume then it's just that QPM has no model file or template for this platform.

How do I add support for it in QPM.

I should add that DFM and RME have both been updated and support the switch, just not QPM.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Darren

Have you looked at Table 3: http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/rtrmgmt/qos/qpm3_2/qpm32dev/qpm32dv.htm for this device?. As for DMF/RME supporting this switch, DFM/RME are seperate apps and if they support a device, it does not imply that QPM will support that device too.

Yes it is certainly listed as Catalyst 4507 IOS.

The OID is correct for the model as well.

In the device table it appears from the import from RME as a Cat4500(IOS), the OS as 12.2(18)EW, no mapped OS and Status as Not Supported.

I assume then that means more likely that the IOS 12.2(18)EW is the problem rather than the model?

We had to move to this version though in production to fix multicast and igmp snooping bugs in 12.1 that we were running.

We did not of course start trialling QPM back then so i don't know if 12.1 worked or not.

Any ideas?
