Hi,
We have a layer 2 switched network that is currently PVST. We are looking at migration to MST.
Can you please provide and design notes/ guides for a PVST to MST migration.
Also in the MST design, if I make changes to vlans (add/delete) does STP recalculate for all the vlans in a single MST instance. ? Each vlan in this scenario is a different customer. I would like not to impact all customers in a single MST instance everytime we make changes.
Are there any docs that mention the overheads (processing, cpu) that MST puts in a switched environment ?
Any pointers will be much appreciated.
Anil

Thanks for the link.
This says "MISTP uses one BPDU for each MISTP instance, rather than one for each VLAN, as in PVST+"
Does this mean all vlans in the single instance will undergo convergence if one vlan is added/ deleted in that instance.?

Anil
