"ip cef table consistency-check error-message"

Hello, I used this command already on 6509, but before putting it permanent, I try to know what is the exact signification of it, and also what is the impact on the switch (perf. ....)

Looking to this web site, I don't have found any real explanation for the entire command:

"ip cef table consistency-check error-message"

A lot about consistancy-check, but no real info on error-message.

Somebody knows it and can answer my request???

CEF consistency checkers should be enabled by default. You can do a "sh ip cef inconsistency" to verify. However, a syslog message is not printed by default if the switch encounters an inconsitency. You might want to enable it using the command "ip cef table consistency-check error-message"
