hi, does anyone know if you enter the above command on a cisco 6513 switch, if it affects anything connected to the switch. The command should free up some NVRAM but I want to make sure that users and servers connnected to the switch won't be affected at all.
Thanks,
Ted

Hi,
I've done it a year ago on Cat4006 with no impact to users.
But it might depend on CatOS version and you are never 100% sure, I'm afraid, especially if the config is really large.

Hi,
There should not be an impact as long as you save the config. But beware of the bootup delay opened under CSCdz53845.

Robert,
thanks! What is the CSCdz53845 you are referring to? Do you just mean that the switch will take a bit longer to boot?
Also is it true that I can't save the config while in binary mode but after I switch to text mode I will need to save the config?
Thanks,
Ted
