When configuring VLANs, what is different between using "vlan database" mode and configure vlan by using interface mode? I have read somewhere that "vlan database" can not do everything abou vlan. Is that true? What command vlan database can not do? If vlan database can not do everything, what "vlan database" mode good for?

Also have a look at this old post that has solved this problem
Basically VLAN database mode is old and Cisco recommends using config vlan

Hello
Interface vlan xx creates a L3 logical interface for routing - ip address assignment
vlan xx - creates a L2 vlan on the switch for trunk or port assignments, Which relates to the vlan.dat file located in the switch flash memory
