Hi,
We have a setup with 2 power supplies "NET 1" = main power and "NET 2" = backup power where NET 1 is the main power supply feeding the cisco switches. We have a device from schneider electric called transferpact we would like to install to switch to NET 2 in case of power loss on NET 1. Switching between the 2 power sources will result in a power loss or power down time for less than 500 ms to the switches. Will the switches keep running as if nothing happened or what is the minimum switchover time the switches need to continue working as if nothing happened on the power to the switches ?
This device would eliminate the use of separate UPS as we are 100% certain of power being available on NET 2 (through UPS and diesel generator from the power grid)
Thank you for any insight or confirmed feedback.

Hello,
if the switch loses power, even for only half a second, it will reboot.
