Recovering from a deadly typo when changing rommon# >confreg

I was changing the confreg settings in rommon mode on a 2610 as part of an IOS recovery procedure and instead of typing confreg 0x2102 I accidentally typed 0x2120 and reset the router. Now when the router boots all I get is stuf like... 3Ä{ÚO¼æΝœÝ¨

Anyone know how to recover from this? I can't break back into rommon mode.

Would pulling the BootROM help? I don't have one to replace it with.

Thanks,

Seth

Thanks! That is indeed the answer.

I just found a different doc few minutes ago and fixed it. Another good doc for anyone wondering about config register values is...

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/hw/switches/ps663/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a008011c8c0.html#30065

The doc is actually for a Cat. 4000, but it seems to apply to other IOS devices like the 2600 as well.
