Hi,
I don't seem to be able to locate the documentation that supplies the command to remove old bootflash entries in the config. The OS isn't held on the flash any more and I want to clean up the config on the 6509. I know it is not 'no set boot system flash' but something else.
I found 'clear boot ststen flash' using the command look up tool but that doesn't seem like what I am trying to do. I'm not trying to clear the flash, I'm trying to clean up the config.
Thanks,
Kim

Hello Kim,
try the ´clear boot system flash´ command, as in the example below:
Console> (enable) clear boot system flash bootflash:cat6000-sup.5-5-1.bin

Easiest way would be to clear all boot statements using "clear boot system all" and then configure the correct one using
"set boot system flash bootflash:xxxxxxxxx prepend"
You can clear one at a time too. The following page should help
