you can do a no interface sx.x
this will remove the interface although it takes a reload to fully remove it. If you do a sh ip int brief it still will show the subinterface, you must reload the box to get rid of this.

Just use the no form of the command, to remove any commands in the running config. The same is the case with the sub interface. Because its a software created interface, you just need to use "no int sX.Y" to remove it.
When you give a show ip interface brief, you will still see all the deleted sub interfaces, but once you give a reload, of the router, this should clear up.
Hope that helps
