reset a CISCO Router

I have a cisco 800 series router and I want to reset it back to the default factory settings

(as it was in the box) can some one explain how do this.

Firstly, do you know the passwords set on the box?

If so, you should enter enable mode and enter the "write erase" command and then reboot router.

If you do not know the passwords, you will need to carry out a password recovery first.
