Hello, I have rme working on a win2k machine and I want to use it for Syslog analysis. Although it seems that it works fine and it keeps the logs in the syslog.log file when I go to 24h reports -> syslog messages -> configuration changes report it starts downloading the data but then it pops a window with a message that says "Invalid syslog location specified".The entry in the windows registry maches with the one in the RME's configuration. The only strange thing that I noticed is that in the RME's configuration even if I write that the syslog is in c:\syslog.log it always change it in c:/syslog.log
Does anyone know something about that?
Thanks in advance

Please try the following:
Restart the CW processes:
# /etc/init.d/dmgtd stop
# /etc/init.d/dmgtd start
Wait for 5 minutes for the processes to start properly. Check the Syslog Analysis page again.

Thanks for your reply. What you advised me to do maybe works on unix boxes but I'm running ciscoworks on a Win2k pro box.Although I tried to do the procedure but it did't work.
Thanks again.
PS: The RME still not working :(

try to enter the path with a / instead of \. I think the mechanism that reads your input needs that.
to restart all process on windows, enter the following in a DOS box:
net stop crmdmgtd
Wait until it completes, then enter:
net start crmdmgtd
the process finishes but it can take up to 5 min until you can login again.
