We have a Cisco 1601 router connected to the internet via an ISDN connection. The problem is that our ISDN connection keeps dropping very often if there is no traffic on the line. The router is configured with an idle-timeout value of 999999. When we check through a debug dialer, the router reports a host_disconnect. We have changed the router but no luck. Please help.

sounds like the far end has a time out of less than
999999

Thanks for the reply. The only thing is that the far end is the ISP and they insist that their is no problem on their side. Is their any way where I can conclusively say that the ISP is dropping the line?
Thanks in advance.
