router not saving configuration

Hello All,

The internet router 2601 is not saving its configuration to ram.

NVRAM has been changed and Flash as well.

Everytime it is restarted the router looses it config and have to reconfigur it from scratch.

What may be wrong with this device?

maybe a config-reg issue. show ver and check if you're having a config-reg value as 0x2142. If this is true, the device will bypass the startup-config everytime it boots up.

If that's the case, do this:

conf t

config-register 0X2102

exit

wr mem
