Hi,
This is a question related to a school project with 85user+. I will have cat6 backbone, cat5e horizontal cabling.
I will need:
1 *48 port switch,
2* 32port switch or 3 * 24port switch.
A Router suitable for a small\medium business?
I am not sure which websites for best for finding racks\cabinets?
I do apologise for this question but an experienced it professional could probably do this question in their sleep.
I will be grateful for any information received.
Mark Palmer.

For a straight layer 2 capability a 2960 will suit you and they are fairly inexpensive and they come in different port combo, 12/24/48. You can get a 3560 05 3750 for the 48 port switch and if you have no need for NAT on your Layer 3 then you can use these switches also for your layer 3 or router need as they can function in Layer 3 as well.
I do not have information on racks.

Hi Mark,
You have not mentioned whats the budget you have at your disposal. In my opinion as this is a school project u can go in for lower end Cisco products or products from some other vendors which are very in expensive. U have to finalize the budget first and then go in for the design concept.
Thanks and regards,
