Router using PPPoE and Windows Stations

Friends,

I'm with a strange problem in my network. My config is a 1751-V using 12.3(11)T and WIC-4ESW + VIC-2FXO.

My Internet connection is ADSL using PPPoE. The problem is I cannot navigate in some sites (yahoo.com, aol.com and others randomly) without install the PPPoE client in my Windows workstations.

Why this? The router is configured with PPPoE and NAT and why I have to install the PPPoE client in my stations to give them full access to Internet? Without this client (any client), my stations can browse web, but just some sites.

I thank your help!

Mauricio

That is very common issue using PPPoE. You need to adjust the MTU size for a TCP packet as some web servers are very picky on that.

Here is the link which talks about why do you need to tune the MTU for PPPoE and how do you do that on a router or on a PC etc..
