Runnin-config is removed intermittently

Hello,

I'm having a problem with a Cisco 2621. Every once in awhile the servers (which are NATed on the router) cannot get past the router and visa versa. Rebooting the router will fix this, but I need to find out why this is happening.

Last time it happened I ran the tech-support command. What was odd is that the "running-config" and the "context" was missing. Almost like the config is not being seen. When this happens workstations can still get out, just not any thing that is NAT'd.

Does this ring a bell for anyone?

We have seen a similar problem in our lab with NAT. I cannot remember which version we were running then but, since we moved to 12.2, we have not seen the problem.

The tech support issue sounds like the command was entered from non enable mode.
