I am in a terrible situation so if anyone could help me that would be great.
I have 2 servers (non-windows) with same IP address(private IP). 2 servers are connected to 2 different cisco switches(Catalyst 3850). I want traffic go to 1st server and if that server goes down traffic should go to 2nd server. My company is ready to purchase if any hardware is needed.

Hi there. Can you provide some more details on what you are trying to accomplish. It is a bit strange that both endpoints will have the same IP addresses. This can cause all sorts of network issues :) So before we can provide some suggestions let's figure out what you are trying to do and perhaps we can suggest a better way to do it :)

i think you have to do Network load balancing on the two server. having two servers with the same ip address will results in conflict in addressing.
