Hi all

I am trying to set up a VPN from my ADSL router (837) using a dialer-list based on the desitination IP address i.e. the VPN should run between my router and a Pix

Can anyone suggest a sample configuration, or direct me to a link which explains the requirements for this in detail ?

Many thanks in advance for any help

Kind regards

Marcus

The following link shows how to configure an IPSEC VPN from a 7200 router to a PIX.

You should be able to doctor this and apply it to your setup.

Hello Marcus,

in addition to the previous post, you might also want to check out the Cisco IPSec Technology Page. Scroll down to the sections ´IPSec on Router to PIX´ and ´IPSec on Router to Router --> Configuring a Cisco 827 for PPPoE with VPN IPSec NAT Overloading´.

Both the above posts do provide you with enough information to allow you to configure a VPN between a router and a PIX. I will just provide you with a link that shows how to configure IPSec between two routers over a DDR link. You can use the DDR portion of the configuration and apply it to your scenario along with the information from the previous posts.

Many thanks Paddy, Georg and Atif - I have no experience of setting up VPN's so this information is much appreciated :)
