Can you explain the 3750 switch command "show mls qos interface statistics" command. In particular, what does each of the five columns represent?
thanks

Andrew,
Here are descriptions for the show mls qos interface statistics output fields:
1. DSCP incoming - Number of received packets for each DSCP value.
2. DSCP outgoing - Number of sent packets for each DSCP value.
3. CoS incoming - Number of received packets for each CoS value.
4. CoS outgoing - Number of sent packets for each CoS value.
5. Policer Inprofile - Number of in profile packets for each policer.
6. Policer Outofprofile - Number of out of profile packets for each policer
DSCP = Differentiated Service Code Point (the 6 bit Differentiated Services field)
CoS = Class of Service
Exceeding bandwidth limits is "going out of profile" and (traffic) Policers do rate limiting.
More information on this and other 3750 Qos commands is available here: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps5023/products_command_reference_chapter09186a008017f8ed.html#2418190.

thanks Josef,
Do I understand correctly the following:
The "show mls qos interface statistics" section "DSCP incoming" is a measure of ingress port traffic, before remarking?
Please clarify: The section "DSCP outgoing" is measure of either:
- DSCP remarked ingress traffic, or
- traffic in the egress direction?
I really want to get the amount of ingress traffic per DSCP per port, after DSCP remarking (not before)
thankyou very much
Andrew
